Octavia’s Parables is a podcast that guides listeners through the works of Octavia Butler, one chapter at a time. Co-hosts Toshi Reagon and adrienne maree brown bring a modern analysis and scholarship to the work, and offer listeners guiding questions for applying the lessons in their own lives and community work. Octavia’s Parables is produced by Kat Aaron.

adrienne and Toshi co-hosted four seasons together that explored the works of Parable of the Sower, Parable of the Talents, Wild Seed, and Mind of My Mind. The upcoming season of the podcast features Toshi and her new co-host Alexis Pauline Gumbs reading Kindred together.
